KasMaria is Kassandra Lao Pietri’s love for textiles, clothing and art and crafts. After a career in the NYC fashion industry, Kassandra felt the need to work with her hands again and enjoy the art of making and creating. She went back to sewing, beading, quilting and drafting simple patterns. Now with the help of her friends she has been able to design and produce much more than she ever imagined. Her clothes are sewn locally and in limited quantities in Brooklyn and the NYC fashion district. The silhouettes are meant to be classic and easy to wear but with a hint of something subtly special. Kassandra refers to her clothes as "playful wearables” and hopes they bring joy to those who share her love for textiles and clothes.
