An artist edition large tote bag handcrafted from 198 individual leather pieces woven together with contrast rayon lacing. Features two shoulder straps and interior linen lining.

Note: Each bag is handcrafted from environmentally conscious, vegetable-tanned leather sourced from Tuscany, Italy, and tanned using natural tannins. The lacing is made from custom-braided silk or rayon cords, traditionally used in Japanese armor and tea ceremonies, and produced by a historic maker in Kaga, Ishikawa. Every bag comes with a signature orange dust bag.

Designer Bio

Utilizing new technologies and materials, Hatori combines the techniques of making Samurai armor, wood crafts and bamboo baskets to create handbags and accessories. Through revitalizing traditional crafts, Satoko Nakagawa seeks to find a balance between the old and new with a vision towards sustainable design innovation.
