Designer Bio

Drawing inspiration from forms in nature, architecture, art and music, Brooklyn-based ceramicist Tania Whalen creates handmade vessels that highlight the beauty of raw clay, employing mark making to add movement and texture to the surface of her pieces — like water, wind and sand. Each vessel is one-of-a-kind, slow built by hand using the pinch and coil method.
